STA

STA (Short Term Accommodation) provides a safe, comfortable temporary stay for people with disability when they need a break from their usual home environment. Often referred to as respite, STA can include accommodation, personal care, meals, support with daily activities and opportunities to build independence, while also giving families and carers valuable time to recharge. Under the NDIS, it is generally used for short stays and must relate to a participant’s disability support needs and goals.
